A Federal High Court sitting in Kano has restrained the two probe commissions instituted by the Kano State Government to investigate the administration of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from exercising their functions.
The court, presided over by Justice Simon Amobeda, granted an ex-parte motion stopping the Commissions from conducting any further proceedings pending the determination of the instant suit brought before it by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
In the order, which has the National Judicial Council, Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Attorney-General of Kano State, Justice Farouk Lawan Adamu, and Justice Zuwaira Yusuf as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th respondents, the court restrained the 4th and 5th respondents from performing the functions assigned to them by the Kano Governor in courtrooms meant to adjudicate disputes between persons and authorities in Kano, pending the hearing and determination of the instant suit.
