Abia Lawmakers Attend Legislative Seminar in London, Led by Speaker Emmanuel Emeruwa
Lawmakers from the Abia State House of Assembly are currently in London, United Kingdom, for a legislative capacity-building seminar aimed at strengthening governance and improving lawmaking efficiency in the state.
The delegation, led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, includes key members of the Assembly as well as the Clerk of the House and other legislative aides. The seminar is expected to expose the lawmakers to global best practices in parliamentary procedures, oversight functions, and constituency representation.
According to sources close to the delegation, the training program will also provide opportunities for interaction with legislative experts and institutions in the UK, with a focus on enhancing transparency, accountability, and people-oriented lawmaking back home in Abia State.
The trip is part of ongoing efforts by the 7th Abia House of Assembly to promote legislative excellence and build a more effective and responsive parliament.
